For his Broken Flowers series, Jon Shireman soaked various kinds of flowers in liquid nitrogen, then shattered them like glass. I love the visual of these exploding blooms and how it brilliantly conveys their fragile, fleeting nature while preserving their bright, vibrant beauty.
