Made little pink macarons for the little ladies I was visiting in Toronto. I was still being a little cautious with macaron making, so these were simple and plain (they pretty much tasted like pure sugar) with a chocolate nutella ganache in the center. Baked them in the oven in three batches, with only the second batch turning out pretty regular looking. Batch one rose unevenly (so they were all kind slanted to one side) and batch two ended up splitting in the middle like little tectonic plates. So I piped little chocolate hearts over them and disguised them as meringue cookies.
