I lovelovelove sugar cookies! Especially these ones, which are crisp on the outside but still a little soft in the center, and with just the right tinge of sweet. And the shiny semisweet chocolate coat is an extra treat. And sugar cookies are so durable, you could make batches of cookie dough beforehand and store in the freezer, and even when they’re baked, they keep in an airtight container for weeks, which is why they’re the only reliable baked goods that are shipping-friendly (though I’ve yet to try with a chocolate coating, only with royal icing). Yumm!
