The weekend was spent up in Tobermory, the Bruce Peninsula National Park and Collingwood. It was loads of fun and there are pictures to prove it. Also, Georgian Bay is beautiful and The Grotto is awesome. On a side note, having been raised in the tropics, it is really odd swimming in large bodies of water that are not salty.
We walked up Cyprus Lake Trail to the Georgian Bay Coast.
And then climbed down a tiny hole (yes, that’s it!) to get to The Grotto, an underwater cave of sorts.
That blue light you see, well it’s coming through a hole you could swim through to get to the other side of the rock wall, but should probably be reserved for strong swimmers only (preferably with a mask too). And the water is absolutely FREEZING.
And just a small snippet of our spa experience after meeting up with some lovely, friendly people in Collingwood. Hot pools, cold plunges and eucalyptus scented steam baths, I heart.
