There is nothing better on a stormy wet day than a warm toffee nut soy latte, some awesome reading material (Neil Gaiman, Michael Pollan and Cormac McCarthy) and a slice of freshly toasted peachy plum cake .

And in the background, on repeat, the Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack (L.O.V.E. it’s a mystery!), Rachael Yamagata’s Elephants…Teeth Sinking Into Heart (especially the lovely Duet with the ever brilliant Ray LaMontagne) and Bright Eyes’ I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning.

Now if only I had the presence of a certain lovely cuddly boy, then oh, it’d be perfect.
