I have a new found love for Toronto Island and I love it more the further away you get from the center of the island. I used to think it was like Sentosa in relation to Singapore but really, it’s what Sentosa wants to be but isn’t – it’s a change of scenery and pace from city life. We took a walk west on the island this time, going towards Hanlan’s Point. Along the way, we took our time through the The Franklin Children’s Garden, unofficially said our vows in a secret nook at the foot of an amazing tree. We stopped at Gibraltor Point Beach, lay out in the sun, tried to take a dip in the cold cold water and just lazed around for a good while before making our way for some ice cream.
Weekends like this are just the right thing to recuperate from the craziness of the yoga week.
