This is what we got up to in the kitchen this weekend: peach grand marnier cupcakes (with vanilla buttercream). And boy, were they delicious – the “12 cupcakes gone in 1 hour” kind of delicious. Seriously. They were light, airy, had a great peach flavour (without being too much), just sweet enough with the icing (even with my horrendous piping job), with a perfect little crust on the top (ala the perfect muffin). I’m telling you, these might be in the running for my fave cupcake of all time – I mean, I want to bake them again already.
