So when the boy was here, we took a free (thanks to awesome family friends!!) overnight stay at Marina Bay Sands, one of the new integrated resorts in Singapore. We had a pretty good time, though we didn’t indulge in any of the big restaurants or Ku De Ta (which was loud and booked for a private party)… instead we just chilled out by the pool, I took the longest bath I’ve had in a while (so good!), then we walked out to Marina Square for dinner with the family.

The next morning, we woke up bright and early (partially because Steve was still a little jet-lagged) for a morning swim and a pretty glorious sunrise. Then, we checked out and dropped by Fika for some delicious coffee and blueberry cheesecake. Overall, I think we had a good experience at MBS – and that pool is pretty damn spectacular – but it just might be a try-it-once kind of thing. Try it if you’re in the mood for extravagance and relaxation!
