On the drive across to Collingwood from the cottage, we made a mandatory stop at Webers for some chargrilled burgers (they even made an overhead bridge for easy access from the other side of the highway!). The burgers are good, but most importantly, it’s pretty much the nicest place to grab a bite on a long drive along Highway 11 (and you can sit in old train carts or the nice garden out the back!).

On the drive from Collingwood to Toronto, we stopped off at the in-law’s house for a night. The zumster ran around in the grass and chilled out on the swing, we made a trip out to Canadian Tire (my brother’s new favourite Canadian store), relaxed on the deck, ate some delicious dinner (salmon, brussel sprouts, golden roasted potatoes – man, those potatoes were so good) and played some quiz games on the ps3. And the next morning, we had some home-cooked brunch (awesome heart shaped egg yolks!) before driving off to Toronto.
