The day we took a road trip to Niagara Falls, the temperatures had climbed to about 40 degrees. It was hot and we were totally baking in the sun (the cool spray from the falls felt so good!). We walked up to the falls, took some mandatory tourist shots, gave the Maid of the Mist a miss (the queue was SO long!) and then took a scenic drive into Niagara on the Lake. We stopped for lunch at one of the restaurants downtown and then walked around for a little bit – tried Cow’s ice cream, which was good but definitely not the best ice cream in Canada (though they had some pretty rad tee shirts), bought some espresso, some jam and a couple of hats from BeauChapeau Hat Shop. On the drive out, we stopped at The Pie Plate to takeaway some delicious local fruit pie and other treats.

After that, we drove back into Toronto to meet the in-laws for a goodbye dinner at Terroni. Now, I don’t know about you but I kind of love Terroni (I am especially in love with their Spaghetti al Limone, which I am currently craving as I’m writing this). We had a seat out back on the patio, shared some yummy food and a good time – kind of a nice way to say goodbye, if you ask me.
