We had a pretty epic Christmas 2011, spent with lovely people, eating some darn tasty food. We opened stocking on Christmas eve, made a family trip to church on Christmas morning, followed by a present opening session in the early afternoon. Then, prepping for festive dinner with turkey roasting, potato boiling, parfait assembly…. basically, a million things to do but thankfully, with so many willing helping hands, it was much less stressful than it would have been. We had so much food, I am still stuffed from dinner two nights ago – grilled vegetables, turkey, grilled snapper, butter prawns, turkey, addictive potato salad, caramelized sweet potatoes, spinach arugula festive salad. Then, to top it all off, the dessert spread of lemon raspberry whoopie pies, brownie sandwiches with peanut butter frosting, gingerbread sugar spice cookies, cheesecake parfaits with homemade granola and grilled plums, homemade seasalt caramels, lemon genoise cupcakes (a success this time!) with cream cheese candy cane frosting and finally, dessert wine. PHEW!

Then, we skyped the family in Canada for some present opening and Christmas greetings ♥. And that’s it for Christmas! Hope you all had a merry merry time and an awesome holiday! p/s Like my ugly Christmas sweater? I got it for Christmas!!

New Year’s in a week and the boy and I are off to Bali for some swimming, cycling & relaxing! We are so excited!
