I am in love with this Flower Girl Series by Emily Winfield Martin. They are original paintings that are inspired by Emily’s garden and portraits from the 1930’s and 1940’s. I love reading the stories behind each portrait and the how the personality and expression of each girl embodies the variety of flower she represents. My favourites are definitely wild rose (a hint of mischief…and a squirrel friend!) and pansy (I love her colouring the most – dark raven hair, bright blooms).
Aren’t they beautiful?
